Let customers speak for us
from 40 reviewsWell impressed with the quality of the product. Well made, strong and attractive. Easy to use. Will definitely be spending £300+ later this year when I can get access to the existing raised bed to replace and renovate.
I made my raised bed from these PolyBricks and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I was able to hide the roots of the holly tree, which was previously in a rotten barrel and had grown through and into the ground. (See picture 2 and 3). I used a rubber mallet to tap the bricks together so they are nice and tight. It should last a lifetime unless I redesign the garden again! Of course, I can re-purpose these bricks if I choose to. I am now planning to buy some more and build a shed. Just need to decide what to use for the roof.
They seem very strong.Easy to assemble. Good looking end product
Appear to be well made and tough - going to look at painting them with acrylic paint to see if I can match the colour with the stone slabs I have
After a false start with a delivery issue (which was sorted quickly)
I managed to get hold of the samples. They are very well made, sturdy and dimensionally stable. I did experience some fitting issues placing some of the blocks together which appeared to be a tolerance dimension where the "double" block is ever so slightly tapered (deliberate or not - not sure). I have use some, what I would call undue, force to fit. But once in it proved solid and id not then come apart easily (Probably a good thing if your were constructing a wall or such like!.) On the whole I would say these blocks are very well made with three colours which should "weather down". I would like to use and will keep them in mind when I find a suitable application. Would like to see a job actually finished using them. I think the sample idea is brilliant.
This is the second time I have bought from this business and I am very happy with their products. The website is very helpful and customer services are excellent. The products are well made and easy to use at a competative price.
The poly brick sample quickly was well made and easy too use.
Thank you for the sample pack of bricks, they seem very strong, easy to use and ideal for a variety of garden uses. I may decide to make a raised bed for veg growing.
Good idea sending samples like that can see the possibilities of this product I just need to see if it will work the project I have in mind.
Hi. Looks a very good product and nice to know what is available although I don’t have a use for it at the moment but would happily use if a situation arises.
Excellent quality and easy to use, fully recommend the product.
Thank you, I will be measuring up for my first polybrick project this afternoon and hopefully put in an order later. Thanks.

Easy Garden Structures
Quickly create large structures from your own imagination.
PolyBrick® supports enormous loads up to 500 tonnes/sqm.
Sustainability.
Waste plastic has permanence. In the environment it stays around for centuries but in the garden, this same waste plastic can be captured and used to create durable structures.
For this reason, we use chemically stable, weatherproof 100% recycled plastic.
When building with PolyBrick®, you're making a commitment to local, green-energy powered manufacturing that uses locally sourced materials, stopping it from escaping into the environment.
Once installed, it will not leach into the soil and will lock the waste plastic up for good.
Permanence.
Unlike traditional timber or masonry options, PolyBrick® building blocks take minutes to assemble but do not rot, shrink or warp.
We use 100% recycled polypropylene, which is weatherproof. It is enriched with a UV-stabiliser to prevent sunlight bleaching and brittleness.
And thanks to this formulation (tried and tested across the entire IBRAN family of products), you can reasonably expect your structure to last in excess of 25 years!
Versatile, Strong & Durable
Thanks to thick, heavy duty walls, PolyBrick® has been successfully compression tested up to a whopping 150 tonnes/m². We used a fixed, static load, simulating real world conditions.
When anchored with steel bar, PolyBrick® can be used to construct large retaining walls.
Leave the plastic blocks exposed for a low maintenance finish or clad with timber, masonry or porcelain for something more contemporary.
Proudly Made in the Midlands
Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the UK Midlands, every PolyBrick meets our exacting standards for quality and durability. We support local jobs whilst reducing transport emissions.
Every PolyBrick diverts waste plastic from landfills and replaces materials that harm our environment. We're not just building better products - we're building a better future.

FAQs
Do I need any tools for PolyBrick®?
No, but a rubber mallet to tap the blocks together more quickly can help make installation even easier.
Can I clad or render the plastic blocks?
Absolutely! One of PolyBrick's greatest advantages is its ability to accept any cladding or finishing material, letting you achieve any aesthetic whilst keeping all the structural benefits of our modular system.
Recommended Finishes:
Timber Cladding
- Cedar, larch, or treated softwood work beautifully
- Fix with stainless steel screws into the PolyBrick core
- Creates natural, traditional garden aesthetics
- Perfect for raised beds and planters
Render & Paint
- Apply mesh-reinforced render directly to PolyBrick surfaces
- Use exterior-grade renders suitable for plastic substrates
- Prime with plastic-compatible primer before painting
- Ideal for contemporary, clean-lined designs
Natural Stone & Brick
- Thin stone veneers or brick slips can be adhesive-fixed
- Use flexible, weather-resistant adhesives
- Creates authentic masonry appearance without the weight
- Perfect for retaining walls and architectural features
Metal Cladding
- Aluminium, steel, or zinc sheets work excellently
- Fix with appropriate fasteners into PolyBrick structure
- Powder-coated finishes provide colour options
- Great for modern, industrial aesthetics
Composite & Panel Systems
- HPL panels, fibre cement, or composite boards
- Follow manufacturer's fixing guidelines
- Offers consistent, low-maintenance finishes
- Excellent for commercial applications
Top Tip: PolyBrick's modular nature means you can easily change cladding materials later - simply remove and replace without affecting the structural core. Your imagination is the only limit!
How does PolyBrick compare to timber sleepers and concrete blocks?
Timber vs PolyBrick:
- Timber rots, warps, and splits - PolyBrick doesn't
- Timber needs annual treatment - PolyBrick needs zero maintenance
- Timber requires cutting and drilling - PolyBrick clicks together
- Heavy timber needs multiple people - PolyBrick is lightweight
- Timber costs escalate with treatments - PolyBrick is one-time investment
Concrete/Masonry vs PolyBrick:
- Concrete needs foundations and mortar - PolyBrick needs neither
- Masonry requires skilled trades - anyone can build with PolyBrick
- Concrete cracks in frost - PolyBrick is completely frost-proof
- Heavy blocks need machinery - PolyBrick builds by hand
- Concrete is permanent - PolyBrick can be moved and reconfigured
Will PolyBrick work for my specific project?
PolyBrick works for 99% of outdoor construction needs: raised beds, retaining walls up to 1m, planters, seating, steps, pond surrounds, composters, temporary structures, and architectural features. Load capacity of 150 tonnes/m² handles everything from soil to vehicles. Suitable for slopes, uneven ground, and both permanent and temporary applications.
How easy is PolyBrick to install compared to traditional materials?
Installation:
- No tools required (vs saws, drills, mixers for traditional materials)
- No foundations needed (vs concrete footings for masonry)
- No skilled trades required (vs bricklayers, carpenters)
- Build in hours, not days (vs weeks for traditional construction)
- Lightweight blocks - no heavy lifting or machinery
- Self-levelling system works on uneven ground
Maintenance:
- Zero maintenance required (vs annual timber treatments, concrete repairs)
- Pressure wash clean if needed - no special products
- Individual blocks replaceable if damaged
- No degradation from UV, frost, chemicals, or moisture
- Algae/moss wipes off easily - won't penetrate the surface
How long will PolyBrick last compared to timber and masonry?
PolyBrick Lifespan: 15+ years guaranteed, engineered for 25+ years
Timber: 2-5 years before major deterioration begins
Concrete: 10-15 years before cracking and spalling issues
Masonry: 15-25 years but requires ongoing maintenance

Will PolyBrick® withstand harsh weather?
PolyBrick® uses carefully selected, recycled polypropylene treated with UV stabilisers.
This means that even in bright sunshine, it will not become brittle, crack, discolour or warp. It will also handle temperature fluctuations between -50ºC and +50ºC. It is therefore freeze/thaw resistant.
As a naturally waterproof material, it is moisture resistant and will not rot or absorb water, preventing it from becoming weathered.
Can I build a retaining wall with PolyBrick®?
Absolutely! PolyBrick® is ideal for retaining walls up to 1 metre high. For taller walls, we recommend terraced designs which are both structurally superior and create attractive planting opportunities.
Foundation Requirements:
- Ensure ground is level and free-draining
- For walls over 600mm high, use rebar anchored into a concrete foundation strip
- Standard walls can be built directly on compacted level ground
Key Benefits vs Traditional Materials:
- No skilled trades needed - unlike brick or stone retaining walls
- No mortar joints that crack and fail over time
- Lightweight construction - no heavy lifting or machinery required
- Excellent drainage - hollow core design prevents water build-up
- Frost-proof - won't crack like concrete in winter
- Modular design - easily extended or reconfigured later
Load Capacity: 150 tonnes/m² - handles significant soil loads whilst remaining lightweight to install.
For additional load bearing strength, fill the PolyBrick walls with sand, fed through the circular openings on top of the blocks.
